May 31 – June 3, 2019 Incidents

Theft:

A 44 year old female was arrested Sunday afternoon when she was observed by the loss prevention officer at the Real Canadian Superstore concealing merchandise on her person then leaving the store making no attempt to pay. She was released at the scene on an appearance notice with a future court date.

 

Stolen Vehicle:

The Brockville Police are on the lookout for 2016 Toyota Highlander licence plate # BTTT310 that was reported stolen from an address on Laurier Boulevard. The theft occurred on the 31st of May between 5:10 and 5:45 p.m.

 

Weapons:

On the 31st of May at 6:40 p.m. a 34 year old male approached the victim at the Canadian Tire Store on Parkedale Ave.   The male suspect, for some unknown reason, produced a switch blade, opened it and followed the male around the store. The victim contacted police and the 34 year old male was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.  

 

Impaired:

On the 2nd of June at 8:20 p.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on King St.   The officer detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage on her breath. The driver failed a breath test at the roadside and a second breath test at the police service. The driver’s blood alcohol levels were three times the legal limit at 240 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood.
