Armed Robbery

At about 3:00AM on Sunday April 16, 2023, the Brockville Police Service received information that the Circle K convenience store, on King St. W., was robbed at knife point. A lone male entered the store with his face covered and demanded money while brandishing a weapon. A short time later, the suspect fled the area on foot. Fortunately, no one was injured. Suspicious Package Suspected to be an Explosive Device

A portion of Front Avenue was closed yesterday afternoon around 3:00pm after a suspicious package was located in the area. A package that resembled an explosive device was located outdoors and the Police were notified. Responding officers evacuated a nearby building to ensure public safety and restricted the area around the device. With the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police Tactics and Rescue Unit, the device was made safe. The incident remains under investigation.
