Bail Violations Lead to Arrest
On April 25, 2025, at about 9:00pm, police received information regarding a 31-year-old, male, violating his bail conditions. Information was that he was at an address on Central Ave. where he was not allowed to attend.
Officers attended the address and located the subject in question. He was arrested and charged with failing to comply with release order and two counts of failing to comply with probation. It was also known that he was wanted on several other charges including; two counts of mischief and six counts of failing to comply with his probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Disturbance Leads to Arrest
On April 26, 2025, at about 4:00am, police received a 911 call regarding a group in the area of Brighton Cres., where there was a yelling match taking place. Officers attended and located a 23-year-old, male who was one involved in the disturbance and yelling. Police were involved with the subject earlier in the day, as he was arrested on a bench warrant for failing to attend a previous court date. He had been released from custody.
During this incident he was outside of his residence failing to comply with his bail conditions. He was to abide by a curfew to be inside his residence between the hours of 11:00pm – 6:00am. He was held for a bail hearing for the offences of failing to comply with undertaking and probation.
Impaired Driving Results in a Motor Vehicle Collision
On April 26, 2025, at about 7:30pm, police a report of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred in the area of Parkedale Ave. This was a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.
Investigation revealed that a 27-year-old, male was operating the vehicle at the time. It was found that he had been consuming alcohol and a breath sample was taken. The test registered a fail on the approved screening device, so the subject was arrested and taken to the Brockville Police Service for further testing. There, it was confirmed that the subject was impaired. His driver’s licence was suspended, vehicle impounded, and he was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. He was released with a future court date.
Impaired Driving
On April 26, 2025, at about 9:30pm, officers on patrol observed a vehicle that appeared to be weaving in traffic. The vehicle was stopped in the area of King St. E. and Ford St. The driver of the vehicle was identified to be a 38-year-old, female.
Officers performed a roadside screening test as it was believed that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The screening device registered a fail and an arrest was made. The driver was taken to the Brockville Police Service for additional testing that confirmed the driver was impaired. She was released with a future court date after her licence was suspended, vehicle impounded and charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg.
