Month of April Service Response
During the month of April, the Brockville Police Service had 1,656 calls for service created. As a result of these incidents, officers made more than 90 arrests and laid 405 charges. These charges consisted of 147 Criminal Code, 241 traffic related and 17 various provincial offences; including trespassing and liquor charges. Every member of the Brockville Police Service works hard to promote the safety of our community.
Two Arrested in Relation to an Impaired Driving Incident
On April 30, 2025, at about 10:30pm, police located a 21-year-old, female who was operating a vehicle in the area of Blockhouse Island and believed her to have been consuming alcohol. A roadside screening breath test sample was taken, which resulted in a fail. She was arrested and taken to the Brockville Police Service for further testing, which confirmed that she was impaired.
Further investigation revealed that during this incident, police had spoken to the female subjects 23-year-old, boyfriend. It was determined that he was speaking to police while at an address in the area of Parkedale Ave., while on conditions to abstain from attending there due to a previous intimate partner violence incident. He was arrested as well.
The female subject’s driver’s licence was suspended, vehicle impounded and charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg and having care or control of a vehicle with open liquor. She was released with a future court date. The male subject was charged with fail to comply with undertaking and held in custody for a bail hearing.
Arrest Made After Altercation
On May 2, 2025, at about 12:30am, police received a call in relation to a fight that had previously taken place at Broad Street Billiards. A 25-year-old, male was at the establishment when he engaged in a dispute with another subject. This dispute escalated and became physical. During the fight, three friends of one of the subjects became involved to break up the fight. As frustrations were still high, the 25-year-old, subject threatened to cause harm the male he was fighting with and his three friends, by shooting them. They parted ways and left the area.
A short time after this, the 25-year-old, male was observed driving around looking for the group he was involved in an altercation with. Police began receiving multiple 911 calls regarding a disturbance in the area of Perth St. and Front Ave., involving the 25-year-old, subject and two of the males from the previous altercation. It was described that the subject drove at the two males, exited his car and assaulted one of the males and continued to utter threats to shoot the male. The subject left the scene on foot and was located by police in the nearby area. The male who was assaulted was transported to the Brockville General Hospital by Paramedics, for what is described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The 25-year-old, subject was arrested and also determined to be the driver of the vehicle mentioned above. He had been consuming alcohol and testing confirmed that he was operating his vehicle while impaired. He was charged with impaired operation, impaired operation – blood alcohol over 80mg, four counts of uttering threats, two counts of assault and held for a bail hearing.
