Subject Arrested for Personating a Police Officer
On December 17, 2025, at approximately 3:30pm, Brockville Police received a report from a man who stated he had been stopped on John Street by an individual claiming to be an undercover officer with the Brockville Police Service. Investigation revealed that the suspect conducted a pat‑down search and questioned the complainant about drugs and outstanding warrants.
A short time later, officers arrested the male subject, identified as a 42-year-old, male. He was arrested for the offences of personating a peace officer and assault. The subject later provided a statement with differences in the events but confirmed there was a meeting between the two where a pat-down search took place.
The subject was released with conditions and a future court date after being charged with personating a peace officer and assault.
Arrest Made in Relation to Stolen Vehicles
On December 10, 2025, at approximately 6:00pm, Brockville Police received information regarding two stolen vehicles from the Home Depot store on Parkedale Avenue. Information was that a male suspect rented two delivery style vans from Home Depot on November 30, 2025. They were rented for a short period and were supposed to be returned later that same day; however, by December 10th, they had not been returned and the subject was not responding. Due to these circumstances, and arrest warrant was sought for the 55-year-old, male subject responsible for the rentals.
On December 18, 2025, at approximately 12:00pm, the Brockville Police Service received information from the OPP, that they had located the wanted subject at the Mallorytown, 401 Service Centre. The subject was arrested and transported to the Brockville Police Service where he was charged with two counts of theft of motor vehicle and held for a bail hearing.
