Weapon Used in Aggravated Assault

This morning, February 17, 2024, shortly after 7:00am, the Brockville Police Service received a report of a stabbing that had taken place at a residence in the cities south end. Investigation revealed that four male suspects had attended to the residence and a male was stabbed by an edged weapon. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. At this time, it is not believed there is any further risk to public safety. Group Altercation

On February 17, 2024, at about 12:30am, police received multiple calls regarding a fight in the area of King St. W. It was described as involving a group in the range of 15-20 people.  The fight was instigated by two males who were originally in a verbal altercation. The altercation started out in a verbal dispute that escalated, where one male began striking the other male multiple times. Then, others in the area became involved and the disturbance became physical for many. Injuries received by anyone involved are considered non-life-threatening.  The incident is still under investigation and police have already identified many involved.
