Fail to Stop Incident Involving High-Speed E-Bike
The Brockville Police Service is investigating a fail-to-stop incident involving a high-speed e- bike/dirt bike that occurred on the evening of June 16, 2026.
At approximately 9:00 pm, officers initiated a traffic stop on an e-bike/dirt bike travelling at a measured speed of 86 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. The operator failed to stop for police. In accordance with public safety considerations, no pursuit was initiated, and officers discontinued the stop attempt.
At this time, the identity of the rider remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. There is an attached photo of the suspect wearing grey, with the e-bike/dirt bike in question.

Male Charged Following Intimate Partner Violence Investigation
The Brockville Police Service has charged a 26-year-old, male following an intimate partner violence investigation that occurred on June 14, 2026 at approximately 4:30pm.
On that date, police received a call for service from a female reporting that her male partner had struck her multiple times at their residence on Macodrum Drive. It was also reported that there children were present at the time of the incident.
Officers attended the residence shortly after receiving the call and located the victim. Based on the information gathered, officers formed grounds to believe that an assault had occurred. Police announced their presence inside the residence, and the male suspect was located and placed under arrest without incident. The accused was transported to the Brockville Police Service in relation to two counts of assault. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
While in custody, the accused caused damage to a light fixture within the police facility. As a result, he was additionally charged with mischief under $5,000.00. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
