Arrest Made Regarding a Break and Enter

On March 26, 2025, at about 1:00am, police received notification of an alarm at Paradise Cannabis located at 68 William Street. Investigation revealed that a break and enter had occurred where two male suspects had broken glass to gain entry. Once inside, various cannabis products were taken. Brockville Police Service Forensic Identification Unit attended and gathered evidence that assisted in identifying one of the suspects responsible to be a 29-year-old, local, male.   

On June 2, 2025, at about 2:30pm, an officer on patrol observed the wanted subject walking on Stewart Boulevard. The subject was arrested and charged with break and enter with intent to commit theft and two counts of failing to comply with probation. He was eventually released with conditions and a future court date.

Intimate Partner Violence Incident

On June 2, 2025, at about 9:30am, police received a call regarding an argument between a couple at a residence on Convay Crescent. Investigation revealed that the male victim was attacked by his 33-year-old, girlfriend inside the residence. The victim was struck in the face with a shoe, was bitten on the hand and the subject also caused damage to the male’s phone by biting it. In addition to this, it was learned that the subject was on probation and there was evidence of ongoing harassing communications.

The female subject was arrested and held for a bail hearing for the offences of assault, assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000.00, harassing communications, causing a disturbance, and three counts of failing to comply with probation.  

Male Arrested for Assault

On June 2, 2025, at about Noon, police received a report of an altercation that had taken place at a multi-unit dwelling on Pearl Street West. Information was that a female had attended the building to visit a friend who resides there. Once she arrived she was confronted by a 60-year-old, male in the lobby who is also a resident in the building from a different unit. A verbal dispute initiated over the female’s presence in the building that resulted in the subject grabbing the females arm, striking the back of her head and threating to harm her.

Officers located the male and he was placed under arrest. He was released with conditions and a future court date for the offence of assault and utter threats.
