Quick Results for the Month of May 2025

 

The Brockville Police Service was very busy this May as we recorded 1,532 calls for service. This resulted in some calls of higher significance which have been captured on our social media platforms. Additionally, our response resulted in 61 arrests and 18 mental health apprehensions. Regarding enforcement and charges; officers laid a total of 158 Criminal Code charges and 145 Provincial Offence charges. Provincial Offences include traffic, liquor, tobacco and trespassing offences.  

While these results are snap-shot of the results of work performed by the members of our service, it does not capture the overwhelming workload that takes place in the background that often can go unnoticed.

Drug Search Warrant Executed on Bartholomew Street

In the early morning hours of May 29, 2025, members of the Brockville Police Service Drugs and Intelligence Unit, with support from the Emergency Response Team and the Ontario Provincial Police Leeds County Community Street Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Bartholomew Street as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

As a result of the search, a 55-year-old female and an 18-year-old male were taken into custody. The search of the residence led to the seizure of:

  • 92 grams of methamphetamine
  • 82 oxycodone tablets
  • 5 grams of cocaine
  • $1,200 in Canadian currency
  • $1,800 in prepaid credit cards
  • A currency counter, digital scales, packaging materials, safes, and several knives

Following the investigation, the 18-year-old male was released without charges. The 55-year-old female has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking—specifically methamphetamine and oxycodone. She was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. For additional details, see the attached photograph.
