Bomb Threat

On May 8, 2023 at about 12:30PM, the Brockville Police Service became aware of a 47-year-old male, who uttered threats to blow up a school bus. Police acted quickly in response to the information and because of that response, there is no concerns for public safety. The male subject is facing a charge uttering threats and will be held for a bail hearing.

 

Fail to Remain Motor Vehicle Collision

On May 8, 2023 at about 9:30AM, police received a call to attend the intersection of Stewart Blvd and Centennial Rd, regarding a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles. It was learned that the driver responsible fled the area shortly after and prior to police arrival. The vehicle descriptors were given out and an officer located the vehicle in the area of Reynolds Dr. Officers arrested the driver of the vehicle and he was identified to be a 35-year-old, male. Not only did he flee the scene after a multi-vehicle collision, he was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s licence. The male was released shortly after with a future court date for the offences of fail to remain at the scene of an accident, driving while under suspension and failing to surrender insurance.
