Lock down at Thousand Islands Secondary School
On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, shortly after 2:00 p.m., police were called to Thousand Islands Secondary School, located at 2510 Parkedale Ave., Brockville, Ontario following reports of gunshots.
Officers immediately responded to the scene, and a lockdown was initiated as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all staff and students.
Following a thorough investigation, police can confirm that the incident was a false alarm. No gunshots were fired, and there was no threat to public safety. All students and staff are safe.
