Prohibited Driver Arrested
On November 20, 2023, at about Noon, police observed a 48-year-old, male, operating a vehicle on Cedar St. The male was known by police to be prohibited from driving. The driving prohibition was due to previous impaired driving incidents. Officers stopped the male and he was arrested and charged for operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code. The vehicle was impounded and he was later released with a future court date.
Subject Arrested After for Thefts from Vehicles
On November 20, 2023, at about 9:00pm, police received a call regarding suspicious people in the area of Salisbury Ave, Sevenoaks Ave and Bisley Cres. It was described to police that the suspects were walking into driveways in the neighbourhood and attempting to open vehicle doors. Officers attended and located one 27-year-old, male, matching the description of a suspect. Investigation revealed that he was in possession of property that had been stolen from victims in the area. He was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00. The items were seized and returned to the owners. The male was later released on conditions and a future court date.
