Impaired Driver

On October 19th, Brockville Police responded to a single vehicle collision on Maple St.

The vehicle had left the roadway, severing a hydro pole. Power was lost to some residents in the area as a result. A 25 year old, local male was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Operating a Motor Vehicle Over .08%.

There were no life threatening injuries suffered by the driver. He was released later the same day with a future court date.

Home Invasion

On October 20th, Brockville Police responded to a residence in the south end regarding a home invasion.

A group of males entered the residence and after a confrontation with people inside, they were chased from the area. Suspects have been identified by Police and the investigation at this time is ongoing.

Bail Violation

On October 10th, Brockville Police were on general patrol in the south end of town and observed a male party known to be on certain release conditions.

The male was in in the company of a female that he was to have no communication with. He had also been consuming alcohol.

The 29 year old, local male was arrested and charged with breaching his release conditions and was remanded into custody to await a bail hearing.

Domestic Dispute

On October 10th, Brockville Police attended a domestic dispute involving a local couple at their residence.

An argument took place which escalated into the male resident damaging some property within the residence. The 29 year old male was arrested and charged with Mischief. He was released later on conditions and given a future court date.

Ambulance Assist

On October 10th, Brockville Police responded to a city residence to assist ambulance with a female party who was suffering some mental health issues. The 54 year, local resident was in possession of a knife and had used it to inflict wounds on herself. She was eventually apprehended under the Mental Health Act and was taken to the Brockville General Hospital. Her injuries were non life threatening.

Theft from Vehicles

Overnight October 10th / 11th, Brockville Police received several calls of vehicles entered overnight in the north end of town.

Thefts of different items were reported and police ask anyone who had their vehicle entered to contact us for the purposes of seeing where subjects were active. It also assists police when they come across property that may have been stolen.

Once again, these vehicles are typically unlocked. Police remind the public to lock your vehicle doors at all times of day or night.

No suspects have been identified at this time.

Drugs

On October 14th, Brockville Police stopped a vehicle during general patrol which resulted in the locating and seizing of a quantity of Marijuana.

A Toledo man, 21 years of age, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was released at the scene with a future court date.

Drugs

On October 13th, Brockville Police dealt with a parked motor vehicle in the north end of the city.
The occupants of the motor vehicle were found to be in possession of a controlled substance. (Drugs)
A local 17 year old female was charged with possessing a small quantity of cocaine.
She was released at the scene with a future court date.

Domestic Dispute

On October 12th, Brockville Police responded to a south end residence in regards to a domestic dispute.
A local 46 year old male, intoxicated, was arrested to prevent a further breach of the peace.
He was released when sober unconditionally.

Impaired Driving

On October 12th, Brockville Police responded to a report of poor driving by another motorist.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The 25 year old city resident was also charged with Failing to Provide a Breath Sample.
Incident to his arrest, the vehicle he was driving was searched. Police located a rifle and ammunition as a result. Further firearm related charges are pending. The subject was released later with a future court date.
