Early Sunday morning, at approximately 3:30 am, a coin dispenser was pried open and a quantity of cash taken from Hoser’s Car Wash on Central Avenue.
Police have a suspect who was caught on video and the investigation is continuing.

A disturbance at Provincial Court Monday morning between an inmate and Special Constables from the Brockville Police Service. A 23 year old local male is facing charges of Assault Police.
On the 22nd of March 2014 at 4 am officers responded to a disturbance in the area of BGH. At this time an adult male was located walking on the street. The male was screaming and yelling and was subsequently apprehended for being intoxicated in a public place. He was lodged until sober and released.
On the 23rd of March 2014 at 3:30 pm officers attended a disturbance on King Street east. At this time a 38 year old male was located staggering along King Street with blood on his face. The male was apprehended for being intoxicated in a public place and lodged until sober. Investigation indicated that the male had been involved in an altercation prior to being located by police.
On the 23rd of March 2014 at 5:30 pm officers attended another disturbance on King Street East. At the time two adult males had been involved in a fight and as a result a window was broken. The males had left the area and the investigation is ongoing.
On the 23rd of March 2014 at 10:30 pm officers attended a domestic disturbance on Bartholomew Street. At this time an adult male and female were heard in a verbal argument. As a result of investigation no charges were laid and the male and female agreed to separate for the evening.
On the 21st of March 2014 at 11:25 pm officers conducted a traffic stop on Chelsea St at Tupper St. At this time a 24 year old male was found to be driving while under suspension. Further investigation led to the discovery of a small quantity of ecstasy and cocaine. A 24 year old male from Brockville was arrested and charged with Breach of Probation, Possession of a controlled substance and 2 counts of driving while under suspension. He will appear at a future court date.
On the 20th of March 2014 members of Project Islander executed a Search Warrant pursuant to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at 4-15 Victoria Avenue, Brockville.
As a result of the warrant and subsequent investigation police seized a quantity of marijuana, cash, scales and packaging material.
One adult male and one adult female have been charged with Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking. The adult male will appear in court March 21st, 2014 for a bail hearing.
Project Islander is a Joint Forces drug enforcement initiative consisting of officers from the Brockville Police Services, Ontario Provincial Police and the Gananoque Police Service.
The Brockville Police are warning people to remain off of the ice as areas are not safe. Police responded to reports of a male walking on the ice yesterday. The male was observed walking in the area of Centeen Park. Officers searched the area and did not locate a person or observe foot prints leading to open water. As the weather changes the ice conditions follow. Please stay safe!
The Brockville Police are excited to partner with the local branch of the Special Olympics, Crimestoppers, The Upper Canada School Board, The Catholic District School Board and Riverside Ford. Jail and Bail will see representatives from each agency arrested and locked up in a mock cell at the 1000 Island Mall. The event will take place on April 10th starting at 12:30 pm and the cell will be located in the Sears Court area of the mall. We are hoping that our media partners may have an opportunity to come out see the event. There will be more to follow as we get closer to the event!
Brockville Police received a 911 call on March 17, 2014 regarding a possible impaired driver.
The witness advised that she had seen a gold coloured pickup being driven by a male subject go into a snowbank, back up and continue eastbound on Brock Street. Police arrived in the area shortly after 5:00 pm and located the pickup and driver in a MacKenzie Street driveway. Police quickly determined that the male driver had been drinking excessively and he was arrested. The 57 year old Brockville man provided samples of his breath with readings of 250 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
He has been charged with 2 drinking and driving offences.
On Saturday March 15, 2014 at approximately 12:30 pm a male suspect was at the LCBO on Parkedale Avenue. He selected numerous bottles of alcohol, left the store paying for one bottle and not paying for a number of bottles which he had concealed. The theft was discovered after the fact when a LCBO staff member was reviewing store video. Brockville Police were notified. The male suspect is described as 55 to 65 years of age, 5
