Mischief

On February 4, 2014 at about 10:15 pm an intoxicated male suspect was at his north end home when he became enraged. He caused significant damage to the home by pulling curtains down, smashing windows and a clock. A female who had been sleeping was awakened by the commotion and called police. The 20 year old Brockville man has been arrested and charged with mischief. He has been released from custody with a future court date and numerous bail conditions.

Weapons

On February 4, 2014 at 7:30 pm a male suspect was at a James Street East residence. He had been drinking and became involved in an argument with a female. It is alleged that the suspect pushed the female causing her to fall. He then picked up a knife and threatened her numerous times. The incident concluded when they were interrupted by a witness and Brockville Police were called. The 26 year old Brockville man has been arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon and utter threats. He appears in bail court on February 5, 2014.

Unwanted Person

Brockville Police were called to a downtown restaurant during the afternoon of February 4, 2014. An intoxicated female patron had overstayed her welcome and was refusing staff members

Disturbances

Within a matter of hours Brockville Police attended to the same Salisbury Avenue residence 3 times to deal with disturbances. At 4:19 pm on February 3, 2014 police were called to the residence to deal with two male intruders who allegedly assaulted the 20 year old male occupant. The intruders had fled prior to police arrival. The male victim refused to provide information to the police so the suspects

Bail Violation

While patrolling King Street West on January 31, 2014 at 9:00 am a Brockville police officer noted a couple walking near Home Street. The officer was aware that the female was a charged subject and was not to be with the male subject. The 55 year old Brockville woman was arrested and charged for breaching her bail conditions. She was held for bail court later that date.

Assault

On February 1, 2014 at 5:00 pm a male subject attended a north end apartment building to visit a former common law spouse. He was extremely intoxicated and an argument soon followed. He assaulted his former spouse two times while in the apartment. She escaped to the hallway where a neighbour came to her rescue. The suspect was restrained until police arrival. The 29 year old Brockville man was arrested for two counts of assault. He was also on probation at the time of the incident so was also charged with breaching his probation.

Assault With a Weapon

Brockville Police were called to a north end apartment building on February 1, 2014 at 3:52 pm to investigate an assault complaint. It was determined that there was a male and female subject in the apartment along with two witnesses. They had all been drinking over an extended period of time. The male suspect had made some unwanted sexual advances towards the female. He became enraged and assaulted her by punching and kicking. The male suspect then went to a bedroom. The female followed and began striking him in the face with a broken breakfast bowl. Police arrested both subjects. The 41 year old Brockville woman has been charged with assault with a weapon and breach of bail conditions stemming from previous charges. The 61 year old Brockville man has been charged with assault, breach of bail conditions and breach of probation.

Mischief

On January 30, 2014 at 6:47 pm Brockville Police responded to a family dispute complaint at a MacOdrum Drive residence. Police learned that a male suspect had left the scene prior to their arrival. It was alleged that he was intoxicated and had smashed a DVD player belonging to a resident of the home. At that point the suspect was wanted by police for mischief and breach of bail conditions in relation to previous criminal charges. At 8:10 pm police were called back to the home. This time the suspect was present on their arrival. Upon his return the suspect continued his rampage causing damage to pictures and walls. Police arrested the 20 year old Brockville man. He is charged with 2 counts of mischief and 4 counts of breaching his bail conditions. He will appear in bail court on Friday January 31, 2014.

Theft

Brockville Police are investigating a theft that took place at the Brockville Shopping Centre on January 29, 2014. About mid-afternoon an unknown suspect entered the laundry mat and stole clothing from the dryers. The clothing is valued at approximately $500.00. Anyone with information regarding this theft is encouraged to contact the Brockville Police.

Warrant

As the result of a complaint Brockville police attended a disturbance on January 29, 2014 at 6:05 pm. It turns out that two Central Avenue neighbours were having a dispute which was resolved quickly. During the investigation it was revealed that one of the subjects had a warrant for his arrest with the Smiths Falls Police. Members of that service attended Brockville to deal with 23 year old Brockville man.
