Drug Possession Arrest

On November 10, 2022 at about 9:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received reliable information regarding a 56-year-old male, in possession of drugs. In collaboration with the Kingston Police Service, it was determined that the subject was on a Via train and would be attending Brockville. Officers attended to the train when it was stopped. The male subject was identified and placed under arrest. Upon searching the male, officers located a quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine. The total street value of the drugs is estimated at approximately $6,000.00. He was charged with possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking and fail to comply with probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

 

Stunt Driving

On November 10, 2022 at about 3:30PM, an officer was monitoring traffic in the area of Parkedale Ave. While there, they observed a vehicle travelling at the speed of 128km/h in the 50km/h zone. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as a 17-year-old male. As a result the vehicle was impounded, driver’s licence suspended and the driver was charged with stunt driving. We receive many complaints from the community regarding speeding. Needless to say, speeds like this are absolutely unacceptable as they are extremely dangerous.
