November 19 – 20, 2015 Incidents

Motor Vehicle Collision

On November 19th at 8:45 am., Brockville Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Park Street involving a pedestrian.

The driver, a local 77 year old female, struck a 70 year old male who was crossing the street with the right of way.  The female was charged with failing to yield for a pedestrian.

The male was taken to hospital for treatment, Police have no update on the extent of his injuries.

 

Domestic Dispute

On November 19th at 8:32 am., Brockville Police responded to a domestic dispute at one of our high schools.

Police arrested a 17 year old male for assaulting his 17 year old girlfriend.  The young lady did not require medical attention, suffering no injuries.

The male teen was charged with assault and released with a future court date.

 

Theft

On November 19th at 12:29 pm., Brockville Police attended a north end box store for a theft complaint.

The female suspect had fled the store prior to Police arriving on the scene.  Police began searching the area and found the female waiting on a cab.  She was arrested for theft as well as breaching a recognizance she had been placed on for many similar type offences.

Due to the numerous charges against her and the fact that she had already been released in the past to no avail, she was held in custody and will appear in bail court.

 

Theft

On November 19th at 3:43 pm., Brockville Police attended a north end box store for a theft complaint.

A local, 47 year old male, well known to Police, had stolen merchandise.  The subject was arrested for the theft and was also found to be on conditions of another release document for unrelated offences. He was charged with breaching his conditions as well as a current probation order.

He was later released from custody on conditions with a future court date.

 

Robbery

On November 19th at 8:42 pm., Brockville Police responded to a robbery complaint in Victoria Park.

A local, 43 year old male, told Police he had been jumped by two males who pushed him to the ground and took his back pack.  Clothing, a wallet with various cards and a small amount of cash was taken.  The victim did not suffer any injuries.

One of the suspects is described as six feet tall with curly hair in a pony tail, wearing a burgandy coloured jacket.  The second male was about the same height with short black hair, wearing a grey jacket with black trim.  Both parties were last observed running north bound on Park Street.

Public Intoxication

On November 20th at 12:49 am., a cab driver showed up at the station with a male party passed out in his vehicle.

The male was heavily intoxicated and incoherent.  The local 29 year old was arrested for public intoxication and placed in cells for his own protection.

He was released with a fine when sober.
