Arrest in Cartier Court Disturbance Tuesday
A 56 year old Brockville man is in custody this morning after alert Brockville Police officers spotted the man driving his vehicle in the downtown area around 9:00 a.m.
Tuesday evening at 7:15 p.m. officers were called by Leeds and Grenville EMS to the parking lot at 16 Cartier Court where they were attending to a 25 year old female victim who had been injured as a result of a disturbance with the 56 year old man.
Investigators learned the pair had been arguing in an apartment inside the building which continued out into the parking lot before the man sped away in black van.
He is today at Brockville court for a bail hearing and facing assault and driving charges.
RIDE Programs begin this weekend
Brockville Police officers will be starting their RIDE programs for the Christmas Season this coming weekend. Officers will be setting up in various locations throughout Brockville at intermittent times checking for drug and alcohol impaired drivers.
