Domestic Dispute
On the 14th of October, 2017 at approximately 6:15 a.m., the Brockville Police Service responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the South area of the City. Officers attended the residence and investigation revealed that an assault had taken place with alcohol being a factor in the incident. The person responsible for the assault was a local, 22 year old, female. She was arrested and released once sober with documents compelling her to court.
Stolen Vehicle
On the 14th of October, 2017 at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Brockville Police Service took a report of a stolen vehicle in the Central area of the City. The vehicle in question was a 2005 Dodge Caravan blue in colour bearing a licence plate of BFKV707. If anyone has information or observes the above mentioned vehicle, please contact the local police agency.
Dangerous and Impaired Driving
On the 14th of October, 2017 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Brockville Police Service received information from the OPP that a grey GMC pickup truck had fled the scene of an accident in their jurisdiction. It was suspected that the driver was heading towards Brockville and possibly impaired. This was suspected due to his witnessed driving actions and video caught on another driver’s dash camera. Within minutes, phone calls began coming into the Brockville Police Service from multiple witnesses. They were reporting the above described vehicle driving erratically, at a high rate of speed, disregarding red lights and signs, with significant damage and no tires as it was operating on the wheel rims. Brockville Police Officers quickly located the vehicle and boxed him into the roadside preventing him from continuing to drive. The suspect driver is a 36 year old, local male, who was arrested for dangerous and impaired operation. His breath samples indicated he was driving at 3 and 1/2 times the legal limit. He was released once sober with a court date and luckily, no one was injured.
Theft from Vehicles
On the 15th of October, 2017 at approximately 12:00 a.m., the Brockville Police Service received a report of a male going through cars in the South East residential area of the City. Officers located a 22 year old, local male, matching the description in the area who is well known to police. The male was arrested for trespass by night, possession of break and enter tools and breach of probation. He was released with documents compelling him to court.
