Traffic Stop leads to charges

A Brockville couple is facing several traffic related charges after police stopped their vehicle Sunday evening on North Augusta Road.

Patrol officers stopped a Chrysler 300 for a traffic related offence shortly before 8 pm Sunday evening and learned the 45 year old male driving was a suspended driver.  Officers also learned the vehicle registered to his common-law partner, the 46 year old female passenger was being operated with no insurance.

As a result, the driver was issued a summons for driving while under suspension and the owner and passenger of the vehicle given a summons for permitting the vehicle to be driven with no insurance with a future court date.  The vehicle was then towed from the scene.
