October 19 – 20, 2021 News Release


October 19, 2021 just before 7:00 AM, officers responded to a residence in the city’s south end for a domestic incident.  The investigation has resulted in charges for assault against a 42-year-old female.  The male victim was present when officers arrived and had minor injuries from the assault.  The female accused had left the area and a warrant is being requested for her arrest.  She is known to officers and is a Brockville resident.


October 19, 2021 shortly after 8:00 PM, the Brockville Police received information that a Red GMC pickup truck was heading towards Brockville.  The complainant believed the driver of that vehicle to be impaired as it was being operated erratically.  The vehicle was located by officers and stopped on Bridle Wood Drive.  The 43-year-old driver was arrested after he failed a roadside screening device.  The accused was formally charged with operating a conveyance while impaired and operating with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol.  His vehicle was impounded for 7 days and his driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days. He will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.

Bail violations

October 19, 2021 shortly after 11:00 PM, officers were called to reports of a disturbance at a Water Street West apartment.  Officers attended the unit where the disturbance was reported and discovered a 38-year-old male inside contrary to his release conditions.  The intoxicated male was the source of the disturbance.  He was arrested for failing to comply with a release condition.  The male was held in custody until sober and released with a new court date to answer to the charge.


October 20, 2021 around 3:00 AM, a 25-year-old female was arrested for an outstanding warrant when she was located by officers on Bartholomew Street.  A search incident to arrest led to another charge for being in possession of methamphetamine.  She has been held in custody for a bail hearing.


October 17, 2021 shortly after 9:00 PM, officers responded to a domestic occurrence in the city’s center.  A 33-year-old female victim had called 911 to report being assaulted by her common-law partner.  When the call was placed the 38-year-old accused male fled the residence.  The investigation led to charges of assault and uttering a threat against the male.  On October 20, 2021 at 8:30 AM, the accused surrendered to officers and will appear in court today for a bail hearing.
