Shoplifting

On October 19, 2022 at about 1:30PM, the Brockville Police Service assisted with a complaint of a shoplifter at Walmart. Information was that a 37-year-old male had attended to the store and concealed several items on his person. He left the store making no attempt to pay for the merchandise. When confronted by Loss Prevention personnel, he attempted to flee on foot. Officers were in the area on another complaint at the time and assisted in locating the suspect and arresting him. The items were recovered and he was charged with theft under $5,000.00 and released with a future court date.

Further;

On October 20, 2022 the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a shoplifter from the Canadian Tire on Parkedale Ave. At about 3:00PM, a 51-year-old male had attended the store and left making no attempt to pay for a significant quantity of merchandise. The male was observed by Loss Prevention concealing hockey skates and cannel locks in his coveralls. When confronted, the male fled on foot and officers were able to make the arrest nearby. It was also learned that the male was on a probation order. The male was later released with a court date after being charged with theft under $5,000.00 and fail to comply with probation.

 

Warrants

On October 21, 2022 at about 1:00AM, the Brockville Police Service learned that the Waterloo Police Service had arrested a 27-year-old male who had a warrant base out of Brockville. The male was located in a traffic stop by officers. The warrant was in relation to charges including three counts of identity theft, two counts of utter forged document, fraud over $5000.00 and personation. Custody of the male was exchanged between services and the male was held for a bail hearing in Brockville.

On October 20, 2022 at about 2:00PM, the Brockville Police Service located an arrested a 33-year-old female who had an outstanding arrest warrant in the area of the Court House. The warrant was in relation to her failing to comply with her probation order. She was arrested and released with a future court date.
