Dangerous Driving Results in Arrest

On October 23, 2024, at about 11:00am, an officer was assigned to traffic enforcement and was monitoring the area of King St. W. While there, a 35-year-old, male was operating a motorcycle within the Community Safety Zone, designated in front of Swift Waters Elementary School. The officer received a speed reading of 126km/h, within the 40km/h, Community Safety Zone. The officer was unable to safely stop the vehicle at the time. Luckily, through investigation, the driver was identified. The driver was contacted and arrested by police. His vehicle was impounded, Driver’s Licence suspended and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and drive motor vehicle – perform stunt. He was released with a future court date.
