Impaired Driving

On October 29, 2022 at about 12:30AM, officers from the Brockville Police Service observed a 23-year-old male, operating a silver car at a high rate of speed, in the area of Parkedale Ave. A traffic stop was initiated and it was determined that the driver had been consuming. A roadside screening test was administered which resulted in a fail. At that time he was placed under arrest for operation while over 80mgs. He was transported to the Brockville Police Service for further breath sample testing. It was confirmed that he was operating over 80mgs. His driver’s licence was suspended, vehicle impounded, charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mgs and operation while impaired. He was later released with documents and a future court date.

 

Warrant

On October 28, 2022 at about 2:15PM, officers from the Brockville Police Service observed a 27-year-old male, known to be wanted on multiple warrants. The male was observed on King St. W. where he attempted to evade police. He was located nearby and arrested without incident. The warrants were in relation to charges of fail to comply with release order, theft over $5,000.00 and theft under $5,000.00.  There was also a bench warrant for failing to attend court on previous court appearance dates. Those previous charges are for uttering threats, fail to attend for fingerprinting and breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

 

Assault Cause Bodily Harm

On October 27, 2022 at about Noon, the Brockville Police Service engaged into an investigation of an assault that had taken place involving two teens. It was learned that the two teens were in an altercation stemming from the possession of a vape pen. The altercation became physical and a 15-year-old male was identified to be responsible for the assault. It was later determined that the injuries to the victim were significant enough that the teen would be charged with assault cause bodily harm. No further details on the exact injuries will be released for the sake of the victim. They can be described as non-life-threatening. The teen responsible was contacted and turned himself into police on October 28, 2022 at about 8:00PM. He was released with conditions and a future court date.
