Robbery with a Weapon and Threats

On October 31, 2022 at about 7:15PM, the Brockville Police Service received information regarding a robbery. The incident took place outside the Beattie Dodge dealership on Chase St. A staff member of the dealership observed a male sitting near his vehicle while he was leaving for the day. The male subject then pulled a knife out of his pocket and approached the staff member. He demanded his phone, told him to mind his own business and threatened to stab him. Officers quickly attended the area, located and identified the 36-year-old male subject responsible. He was placed under arrest and charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of weapons for dangerous purpose, uttering threats and two counts of fail to comply with probation. He was held for a bail hearing. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

 

Domestic Assault

On October 30, 2022 at about 12:30AM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a domestic dispute in the area of Wellington St. Investigation revealed that a male and female couple were engaged in an argument when the 27-year-old male, struck his girlfriend in the back of the head. The injuries did not require medical attention. He left the residence prior to police arriving. The male was later contacted and he turned himself into to police. He was arrested on October 31, 2022 at about 9:00AM. He was later released with conditions after being charged with domestic related assault.

 

Uttering Threats

On October 31, 2022 at about 9:30PM, the Brockville Police Service received a report of a disturbance that was taking place at BGH emergency. It was learned that a 20-year-old male was waiting in the waiting room for assistance. He became agitated and would not comply with remaining calm for staff at the hospital. During the time dealing with officers, the male began making threats to harm his ex-girlfriend and expressed having a plan. At that time he was placed under arrest. After speaking to the medical staff, he was held in custody for a bail hearing for the offences of uttering threats and two counts of failing to comply with probation.

 

Mischief

On November 2, 2022 at about 3:00PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a disturbance at The Beer Store on Central Ave. Information was the a 22-year-old male was agitated out front of the store and began screaming at another male and kicked his truck causing a dent. The male subject began to flee the area but was followed but other witnesses. Officers attended the area and located the 22-year-old male. He was placed under arrest and charged with mischief under $5,000.00. He was released with paperwork and a future court date.

 

Warrants

Between November 1st and 2nd, 2022, the Brockville Police Service arrested four individuals in relation to various outstanding arrest warrants. They are as follows;

  • 27-year-old male was arrested in relation to a bench warrant for failing to attend court and released with a future court date.
  • 29-year-old female was arrested during a disturbance on Church St. in relation to a bench warrant for failing to attend court and released with a future court date.
  • 20-year-old male was arrested in regards to a mischief investigation and held for bail.
  • 44-year-old male arrested on a probation warrant and released with a future court date.
