Suspicious Male in Driveway

At approximately 10:30 p.m. Brockville Police received a call from a south end Brockville resident who reported seeing an adult male whom she did not recognize in her driveway and acting strangely. She remained inside her residence and was able to see the individual via a security camera she had outside her residence.

When officers arrived, they located a 60 year old Brockville area man, who is known to police and fit the description given by the resident. As a result he was taken into custody and is now facing charges of Trespass by Night, Indecent Act, and Failing to Comply with his Probation Order.

 

Wrong house leads to Public Intoxication Charges

A 41 year old Brockville area man is facing charges of Public Intoxication after a north end family was awakened to a stranger trying to gain entry into their home at 3:30 a.m. this morning.

Residents of the north end home called police after hearing the male attempting to gain entry to their home and remained on the line with communications staff until police arrived. On arrival at the residence, police located the man obviously under the influence of alcohol. They learned he thought he was at a friend’s house and was attempting to gain entry to the residence using a set of keys he had. He was arrested for Public Intoxication and conveyed to the Brockville Police Service, where family members were contacted to come and pick up the man. He was released from custody with a Provincial Offences notice and charged with Public Intoxication.
