September 21 – 24, 2018 Incidents

The Brockville Police Service had 132 calls for service over the weekend. 6 arrests were made in total.

Warrants

On September 21st, 2018, the Brockville Police Service located a 23 year old male who is believed to be a resident within the Greater Toronto Area. He was an unwanted person at a business in the Center of the City which is why police were notified. He was found to have several warrants out of Ottawa and the Greater Toronto Area for other offences. Officers also found him to be in possession of break and enter tools. He was held in custody and charged with the possession of the break and enter tools. The warrants from other services will also be executed.

 

Structure Fire

On September 23rd, 2018 at approximately 11:00a.m., there was a report of a Structure Fire in the South area of the City. Brockville Fire Department attended, put out the fire and held the scene for further investigation into the cause. No one was injured.

 

Trouble with Youths

On September 21st, 2018 at approximately 9:45p.m., the Brockville Police Service received information regarding a large group of youths believing to stage a fight. The location was in the South East of the City. Officers arrived on scene and found a large group of youths were present. Many fled from the scene. Two of the individuals present were arrested. After the investigation one youth was released unconditionally and the other was actually an 18 year old local male. The 18 year old was charged with minor possession of drugs and breaching conditions on his current Undertaking. There was approximately 25g of marijuana and 0.5g of MDMA (speed) seized. With the concern of incidents involving groups of youths in our City, the Brockville Police Service encourages the public to contact the police to report any issues observed.
