Warrants

September 3, 2021 10:00 AM, a 40-year-old male was arrested by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).  The male was located by officers in Seeley’s Bay, ON and arrested for his warrant of arrest that Brockville Police held.  He was turned over to our service and held in custody for a hearing on September 9.

 

Assault

September 3, 2021 at 5:30 PM, officers investigated a complaint of an assault between two males.  The victim stated that the 41-year-old male had assaulted him after an argument.  The victim suffered minor injuries from the assault.  The accused refused to exit his Bartholomew Street residence and officers began negotiations.  The male was currently before the courts on charges stemming from a domestic incident a few days earlier.  Around 11:00 PM, officers entered the residence on the strength of an arrest warrant and arrested the male without incident.  He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

 

Mischief

September 4, 2021 at 6:05 AM, officers were called to a Kensington Parkway apartment building as a complainant stated they could hear what sounded like a person crying and there was blood all over the entrance doors, parking lot and a second building.  Officers located a 19-year-old male with cuts to his forearm.  It appears at this time that the wounds sustained were from this male punching a glass door, breaking it and cutting himself in the process.  He was transported to the Brockville General Hospital for treatment.  The investigation is continuing at this time as to charges being laid for the damage.

 

Stolen vehicles

Newer Jeeps targeted in thefts:

  1. Reported on September 4, 2021 at 7:09 AM, stolen from a Centre Street residence was a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Silver. The theft occurred sometime overnight.  No suspects at this time.
  2. Reported on September 4, 2021 at 9:22 AM, stolen from a Donaldson Court residence was a 2020 Jeep Gladiator White. The theft occurred sometime overnight.  No suspects at this time.

 

Domestic Assault

September 4, 2021 at 8:39 AM, officers responded to a south end residence for a domestic incident.  A 34-year-old male was arrested for slapping his spouse.  He was charged and released with a future court date.

 

Impaired

September 4, 2021 at 2:35 PM, the Brockville Police Service received a complaint of a possible medical issue for a male operating a Dodge Pick-up truck in the area of the Real Canadian Superstore and Walmart on Parkedale Avenue.  Officers located the vehicle and the 76-year-old driver who was found to be impaired by alcohol.  He was arrested at the scene and turned over to a qualified breath technician so that samples of his breath could be obtained.  The accused provided samples of his breath of well over the legal limit.  He has been charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and operating with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol.  His vehicle was impounded for 7 days and his driver’s licence suspended automatically for 90 days.

 

Bail violations

September 4, 2021 at 9:20 PM, officers responded to a north end residence for a domestic dispute.  No offences arose from the dispute, but a 33-year-old male involved was wanted for failing to attend for his fingerprints.  He was charged and released at the scene with a court date in the future.

 

Overdose

September 5, 2021 at 1:19 AM, officers were dispatched to King Street West near Court House Avenue for a suspected overdose.  A 25-year-old male was collapsed in front of a the caller who quickly jumped into action calling 911 and began CPR.  Officers arrived and administered Narcan and contacted paramedics.  He was then transported to Brockville General for treatment.
