On July 7th at approximately 9:50 pm, Brockville Police attended a residence in the south end of the city for an unwanted person complaint.
A 56 year old male, from the Prescott area, attended his ex-girlfriend’s place and scratched her vehicle with an unknown object. He was confronted by a 47 year old man who was visiting the victim. The man followed the accused to his parked vehicle and tore the passenger side mirror off the vehicle while trying to stop him from leaving the area. The accused then went home and contacted Police to report a mischief to his vehicle.
The Police attended his residence and arrested him for mischief and assault with a weapon. Prior to fleeing the area in Brockville, the accused had pulled a screwdriver on the man following him.
The accused was also charged with trespass by night and criminal harassment. There was also a house arrest condition on the male for past charges of criminal harassment. He was subsequently held in custody and will appear in bail court.
