The Brockville Police have arrested and charged 28 year old Brockville man in connection with the armed robbery at the Mac’s Milk convenience store on King Street West.
Following the release of surveillance photos on Monday, Brockville Police received numerous tips from members of the public with regards to the robbery. Detectives following up on the tips were able to positively identify the suspect and on Monday night patrol officers spotted the accused at a downtown restaurant and arrested him for the robbery and brought him into custody.
Yesterday, officers from the departments Criminal Investigations office and Forensic Ident Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of the accused and recovered evidence linked to the robbery.
The 28 year old man appeared briefly in Brockville court yesterday afternoon and was remanded into custody until Friday February 3rd.
