Arrest

On June 26th at approximately 9:45 pm, Brockville Police observed a male party entering a gas station in the south end of the city.

The local, 29 year old, had warrants for his arrest stemming from breaches of his probation order during an incident on March 22nd of this year. He was arrested on the strength of the warrants and later released with a future court date.

Public Intoxication

On June 26th at approximately 5:15 pm, Brockville Police responded to the King Street west area in regards to a female in need of assistance. The local, 61 year old, was arrested for public intoxication for her own safety. She was released with a fine when sober.

Drug Offences

On June 26th at approximately 9:15 am, Brockville Police performed a traffic stop on Parkedale Ave.

Circumstances led to a search of the vehicle and the seizure of a quantity of marijuana. A 21 year old, female from the east coast and a 34 year old, female from northern Ontario, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. They both face a future court date.

Marine Assistance

On June 25th at approximately 11:50 pm, Brockville Police received a call for help from a stranded boater.

The boat held several people and they had no power or lights.  Through cell phone communication, the Brockville Police Marine Unit was able to track down the drifting boat in the Maitland area.  Police were able to tow the boat back to a Brockville boat ramp and all parties were fine physically.

Break and Enter

In the morning on June 25th, Brockville Police responded to a residential break and enter complaint on Margaret Place. Unknown person(s) entered an unlocked door and removed items from the home.

In the early afternoon of June 25th, Brockville Police responded to a residential break and enter on Hartley Street. Unknown person(s) entered an unlocked door and removed items from the home.

These incidents are probably the work of the same individual(s). Brockville Police have received several similar type complaints in the recent past. In some of these incidents, residents were actually home but working in their yards. Please lock your doors if you’re not able to view the points of entry to your residence. This suspect is taking smaller type items so he is probably on foot.

Intoxicated Male

On June 24th at approximately 4:00 am, Brockville Police attended a downtown bus shelter to deal with a passed out male.

Police arrested a local, 29 year old, for his own well being.  He was released with a fine when sober.

 

Intoxicated Male

On June 24th at approximately 12:35 am, Brockville Police on general patrol in the north end of the city and noted an intoxicated male on the street.

The local, 20 year old, was arrested and charged with public intoxication after it was determined he could not look after himself.

He was released with a fine when sober.

Unlawfully at Large

On June 21st, Brockville Police were contacted by the Brockville Jail after an inmate failed to show for his weekend sentence.

The local, 41 year old male, now has a warrant in existence for his arrest.

Drug Offences

On June 19th. Brockville Police dealt with a local, 56 year old male, inside a bar on King St.

The male was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine.  He was charged with possession of the drug for the purpose of trafficking and was also on an undertaking at the time and was breaching conditions associated to same.

He was released later with a future court date.

Drug Offences

On June 19th at approximately 11:20 pm, Brockville Police stopped a motor vehicle on a north end street and discovered drugs and cash.

A 23 year old male, from the Mallorytown area was the driver. He was charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and speed for the purpose of trafficking.

He was released later with a future court date.

Two local females, 17 and 19 years of age were also charged with possession of the drugs and also released.

Another local, 23 year old female was charged with the same offence but also was found to be breaching current release conditions as well as her probation order. She was charged with these additional offences.

Lastly, another 19 year old, local male was a fourth passenger in the vehicle. He was charged with the drug offences and facing another charge of sexual assault after trying to force one of the female passengers to hide the drugs on her person.  Police also found him to be in possession of a pair of brass knuckles which are a prohibited weapon for any member of the public.

The drugs and a large quantity of cash were seized.
