June 23 – 24, 2018 Incidents

Liquor Licence Act

On the 24th of June, 2018 at approximately 4:00am, Police received a call regarding an intoxicated male in the North end of the City. Police located a 41 year old male where he was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was released in the morning with a fine.

 

Suspicious Person:

On the 28th of May, 2018, Brockville Police released a photograph of an individual that police were looking to identify regarding an incident that took place at the “Second Time Around” store in Brockville. On the 23rd of June, 2018 the 55 year old male was arrested in relation to that incident. He was released with a future court date. Police are still seeking witnesses in relation to that incident that took place on May 25th, and are asked to contact Cst. Gamble at (613) 342-0127 x 6087 or dgamble@jgr8poxkdf.wpdns.site.

June 22 – 23, 2018 Incidents

Assault Police

On the 22 of June, 2018 at 9:00pm in the south end of the city, a 21 year old female was being detained on a non-criminal matter. During the interaction with the police she kicked officers in the chest and stomach. She has been charged with Assault Police and released with a future court date.

 

Domestic

On the 22 of June, 2018 at approximately 11:30pm in the south end of the city a 38 year old male was arrested for a Domestic Assault with a weapon after a lamp post was used to strike his partner during an argument. The female victim received a minor injury which did not require medical attention. The accused was released with a future court date.

 

Impaired

During the early morning hours of June 23, 2018 a 27 year old male was stopped operating a vehicle at a high rate of speed in the south end of the city almost losing control. The driver was identified and charged with refusing to provide a sample of his breath. He was also released with a future court date, a 90 day licence suspension, and a 7 day vehicle impoundment.

Later that morning, another drivers actions, alerted the police causing her vehicle to be stopped. A roadside demand was administered which the 27 year old female failed. Further readings were provided where she registered over the legal limit. She was charged with Impaired Driving and Operate Over 80. She was released with a future court date, 90 day licence suspension and 7 day vehicle impoundment.

 

RIDE

A RIDE program was completed last night with 75 vehicles being checked. 3 Highway Traffic Act cautions and one roadside test administered. No alcohol related charges were laid.

A reminder to the public that officers will be out conducting RIDE programs throughout the city and on the City’s waterway. Please don’t drink and drive, and have a designated driver when you do plan to go out.

June 21 – 22, 2018 Incidents

Warrants

On June 21, 2018 at 3:15 pm, a 26 year old male was arrested on his warrant for breaching bail conditions. He was observed by an officer on routine patrol on John St. He was arrested without incident.

 

RIDE

A RIDE program was completed last night with 120 vehicles being checked. 3 Highway Traffic Act charges were issued and one roadside test administered. No alcohol related charges were laid.

 

Mischief

Today at 12:00 pm, a prisoner who was in custody for a bail hearing, caused damage to a sprinkler system forcing the service’s court staff to have to evacuate the cells. The 26 year old male is now facing a charge of mischief in addition to the charges he was currently facing.

June 20 – 21, 2018 Incidents

Arrest

During the morning of June 20th the Brockville Police received of several complaints of vehicles being entered and items removed.

On June 20, 2018 at 10:40 am, a 25 year old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant for breach of probation and theft.

A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of methamphetamine and property that had been reported stolen from the vehicles earlier in the day. It was learned that he had used a stolen credit card to make a purchase at a downtown convenience store as well.

He is now facing charges of theft, fraud, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation.

 

RIDE

Officers conducted a RIDE program on Stewart Blvd. last night. One roadside test was administered and 2 Highway Traffic Act charges were laid for various offences.
