Shoplifting

On December 28th, Brockville Police responded to a theft complaint at the Superstore on Parkedale Ave.
An unknown male attended the store and removed a television. He had left the area prior to Police arrival. The investigation is continuing. Police are following up on leads.

Drug Offences

On December 29th, Brockville Police stopped a motor vehicle on King St. for a traffic violation.
An 18 year old, local male and his 18 year old passenger were found to be in possession of an illegal substance.

As a result, the passenger was charged with a possession of the substance and the driver was issued several traffic related tickets.

Unwanted Person

On December 8th, Brockville Police responded to a King St. W. bar in regards to an unwanted person.

An intoxicated male would not leave the premises when directed by staff. A local, 31 year old male was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was released when sober and issued a fine.

Intoxicated Male

On December 9th, Brockville Police responded to a complaint of an intoxicated male leaving the Brockville General Hospital.

Police located the party on the way back to his residence. The male was on release conditions as a result of outstanding charges and one of those conditions involved no consumption of alcohol. A local, 19 year old was charged with breaching his undertaking and was released with a future court date.

Failed to Report

Brockville Police received a complaint from the Brockville Jail.

A 30 year old male failed to report for his weekend sentence. Police are in the process of obtaining a warrant for his arrest.

Drugs

On December 6th, Brockville Police were dispatched to a hotel in the north end of the city in regards to problems with a guest.

A 50 year old male from the Cardinal area was found to be drinking and in possession of drugs.
He was charged with breaching conditions of an outstanding recognizance and possession of the drugs.
He was released with a future court date.

Disturb the Peace

On December 7th, Brockville Police were dispatched to a call in front of The Phoenix bar for a disturbance.

A local 27 year old male was found to be intoxicated and screaming and yelling at people in the area.
He was arrested for causing a disturbance by being drunk and breaching conditions of his probation.
He was released when sober with a future court date.

Warrant

On December 7th, Brockville Police were dispatched to a residence in the center area of the city in regards to a domestic dispute.

Police discovered the dispute was unfounded but one of the parties involved was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court.

The 26 year old, local male was arrested and held in custody. He will appear in bail court later today.

R.I.D.E. Program

R.I.D.E. programs were conducted at several locations in the city over the weekend.

One roadside screening device test was conducted as a result. There were no impaired drivers discovered and no charges laid as a result.

Police remind people to arrange for taxis and designated drivers over the holidays. RIDE programs will continue at different times and locations during this time.

Drug Charges

On November 25th, Brockville Police responded to a complaint on King St. W. involving problems with four teens.

Investigation revealed that one of the teens was in possession of quantity of drugs. The subject was also on release conditions from previous charges and was found to be in breach of same. A 16 year old, local male was arrested and charged with possession of the narcotic and breaching his undertaking. He was released with a future court date.
