December 26 – 27, 2019 News Release

Impaired:

On the 26th of December at 10:50 p.m. officers on routine patrol observed a black Honda Civic being operated on Home St. without any lights on.  The vehicle was stopped and the officer could detect an odour of an alcoholic beverage on the 39 year old male driver’s breath.  He was then giving a roadside breath test, which he failed.  The male was then transported to perform a breathalyzer test where he registered sample of more than double the legal limit.  He was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance and drive with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood.

 

Weapons:

On Christmas day at 4:00 p.m. the Brockville Police Service received a 911 call of a male armed with a knife on King St.   The male was located at King St. and Courthouse Ave. and taken into custody at gun point by officers.  The male was charged with having weapons for a dangerous purpose and five counts of breaching a probation order.  He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

 

Disturb the Peace:

On December 24th, at 7:30 p.m. police were responded to a call for a disturbance at a residence on Stewart Blvd.   Officers located a 40 year old male at that residence that had a warrant for his arrest from the OPP.  The complainant had called to have this male removed from the residence. The male was arrested and turned over to the OPP.
