Theft

On December 8th at 4:01 PM officers responded to Giant Tiger on Park Street for a theft complaint.  A 33 year old female was observed leaving the store with property not making any attempt to pay.  She was approached by staff asking her if she was going to pay for the item.  She refused and fled the area.  The accused was located by police and arrested for theft under $5000.  She was also charged with breaching a probation condition.  She will appear in court at a later date.

Domestic

On December 8th at 10:14 PM officers responded to a domestic dispute in the city’s north end.  As a result of attending a 29 year old female was arrested for breaching a release order.  She was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Theft

A 50 year old London woman and her 14 year old female were arrested for theft at the Shopper’s Drug Mart on Parkedale Ave. on Monday December 7th at 12:40 PM.  Store employees recognized the 50 year old from previous theft complaints and contacted police.  The previous incidents resulted in the theft of more than $2000 worth of perfume. Both were arrested in the store. 

Both accused have been charged with theft and will appear in court at a later date.

Firearm Charges

A 29 year old Brockville resident has been charged with 1) careless storage of a firearm 2) unauthorized possession of a firearm 3) unauthorized possession of a weapon and 4) failing to comply with an undertaking. The Brockville police service began the investigation in November and the accused was arrested today.   A 12 gauge shotgun was seized from a vehicle in the downtown core.  The accused will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.
