Theft/assault

On the 8th of January 2019 the Brockville Police received a call to attend Wal-Mart in regards to a shoplifter. Staff indicated that a male wearing a red track suit and wearing a black bag had taken off with electronics, clothes and chips. Employees indicated that he was last seen heading towards the superstore.

A 17 year male was located and arrested a short distance away. He was brought to the station and relatives were contacted for his release.

The male was then released to his relative. As the youth exited the station he began to kick a cruiser and assault that relative. Police intervened and arrested the youth a second time. The youth then assaulted the officers. One officer was kneed in the groin, spat on and a second officer was bit.

The male was then held in custody pending a bail hearing.
