Fail to remain

On July 7th at 1:41 the Brockville Police Service responded to a fail to remain traffic collision.  The collision occurred on Park Street at Front Avenue.  The suspect vehicle caused enough damage to the second vehicle rendering it inoperable.  The driver of that vehicle was transported to Brockville General Hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the suspect vehicle then left the scene, making no attempt to stop. Through investigation a 32 year old male was charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident and failing to comply with probation.

At the time of the collision officers located the suspect vehicle a short distance away parked behind a building.  The police canine “Diesel” was deployed and successfully tracked the driver to his residence.  The officers were able to positively identify the driver and lay the appropriate charge.  He was arrested for those charges on July 15th shortly after 3 PM.  He will appear in court at a future date.
