May 18, 2016 Incidents

Warrant

On May 18th at 1:05 pm., Brockville Police received communication from Toronto Police indicating they had a man in custody that had warrants here.

Our Officers met them half way and took custody of the local, 22 year old.  He was charged by our Service for sexual interference late last year. There were probation warrants in effect as well.  He will appear in bail court.

 

Medical Assist

On May 18th at 1:41 pm., Brockville Police attended a motor vehicle accident at Blockhouse Island.

An elderly man who was involved in the collision, left the scene and was followed by the other involved person.  Police stopped the local, 89 year old, nearby and while speaking to him he started complaining of chest pain.  Officers called an ambulance for the man so he could receive treatment.

 

Dispute

On May 19th at 5:00 am., Police responded to a neighbour dispute at a south end duplex.

The complaintant was a 47 year old female who had recently been charged with theft.  Problem is, there were warrants for her arrest for failing to show up for court and missing her fingerprint date.  She was arrested on the strength of the warrants and held in custody for a bail hearing today.

 

Unwanted Person

On May 18th at 4:17 pm., Brockville Police attended a south end apartment building in regards to an unwanted person.

A local, 61 year old man, was intoxicated and causing problems for other residents in the building. He was arrested to prevent a further breach of the peace.  When sober, the accused was released without charges.

 

Breach of Peace Bond

On May 19th at 2:13 am., Brockville Police received information indicating a man was breaching his peace bond.

A local, 30 year old female, complained to Officers that her 37 year old ex-boyfriend, was texting and calling her. He was on conditions of the bond not to do so.

The investigation is on-going.
