Shoplifter arrested

A 36 year-old Brockville woman was arrested for shoplifting late Friday evening. Shortly before 9:00pm police were called to a north end business after staff observed the female concealing merchandise in her bag. Upon police arrival the woman was placed under arrest for theft under $5000. She will appear in Brockville court at a later date.

 

Noise complaint leads to arrest

A noise complaint at a south end residence led to the arrest of a 48 year-old Brockville man late Friday night. Just after 10pm police attended the residence in response to a complaint of excessive noise coming from the address. Upon speaking with officers, police learned the man was wanted for failing to re-attend court. He was subsequently arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant and released with a future court date.

 

Suspicious person arrested

A suspicious person complaint led to the arrest of a local 38 year-old female late Saturday morning. Shortly before noon, police received a complaint of people going into dumpsters at a mid-town business. Responding officers located the female and found her to be wanted by a neighboring police agency for outstanding charges. The woman was placed under arrest on the strength of the warrant and later released with a future court date.

 

Communication leads to arrest

Ignoring several court orders led to the arrest of a 22 year-old Brockville man early Saturday afternoon. Earlier in the day, police received a complaint that the man had communicated with a female contrary to the conditions of his probation orders. Officers on general patrol located the man later in the day and placed him under arrest for seven counts of breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
