Person to Locate

A 29 year old year old Brockville man is being sought by Brockville Police after a pair of incidents late yesterday afternoon and early evening.

While on patrol just before 6:00 p.m. officers observed a male running south on Hill Street in Brockville wearing only black boxer shorts and soon confirmed that he was fleeing the Brockville General Hospital. Shortly after 6:00 p.m. Brockville Police received another call about the man after he broke into a house on Ormond Street.

The resident, who uses a wheel chair, was in the kitchen area when he noticed the man by the front door attempting to steal his shoes. The resident went and confronted the intruder and a struggle ensued before the 29 year old fled the residence. Pedestrians in the area showed police the man fled north on Bethune Street and was last seen on Hamilton Street. Brockville Police asked for the OPP Canine unit to assist but were unable to locate the man.

Brockville Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating this man who still has not been located. The 29 year old is described as being approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 175lbs, medium build, short straight brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow Tommy Hilfiger sweater, a teal polo shirt, and black shoes. No description is available for the pants he was wearing. He also may be bleeding from his arm after fleeing treatment at the hospital and may have minor injuries as a result of the altercation with the home owner. He is quite familiar with the downtown area of Brockville and may return to this area.
