September 21 – 24, 2020 News Release

Domestic

On September 21st, 2020 at 1:20 PM the Brockville Police responded to a domestic incident in the city’s south end.  The investigation led to the arrest of a 43 year old male.  The male has been charged with 2 counts of assault and one count of choking.  He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Shoplift

On September 23rd, 2020 at 2:40 PM the Brockville Police arrested a 35 year old male for theft.  The male was observed by staff at the Canadian Tire Store leaving with merchandise making no attempt to pay.  The male attempted to flee but ran toward the Covid testing centre where a special constable was stationed.  A short foot pursuit was initiated and he was arrested a short distance later.  The male was already on previous release orders so he was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Trespass by night

On the 23rd of September 2020 at 11:00 PM the Brockville Police responded to a complaint a prowler in the area of King St. East.  Officers located and arrested a male for trespassing by night and breach of probation.  The 33 year old male will appear in court at a later date.

Assault

On September 24th, 2020 at 1:20 AM witnesses contacted police after observing an assault that occurred in a vehicle.  Officers attended the Kensington Parkway area and located the involved parties.  A 43 year old male was charged with assaulting his adult daughter after a dispute.  He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
