Torch Run 2015

Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run

On Tuesday, May 5th, Brockville Police were involved in the annual Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run.

This event involves the athletes from the Brockville Special Olympics Chapter. Through donations of Brockville Police members taking part in casual wear Fridays, we were able to raise $748.00.

The Torch Run was comprised of roughly 30 individuals running from the Metro grocery store on King St. W. to the Home Hardware store on Stewart Blvd. The run was topped off with a Bar-b-que assisted by head chef, Chief Scott Fraser. Through the efforts of everyone involved, a total of $1666.23 was raised for Special Olympics Ontario. These funds are used to assist Special Olympians in covering costs as they participate in various sporting events all over North America.

Thank You to everyone involved for helping in this great cause!!
