The Brockville Police Service continues to investigate the cause of the death of Damian Sobieraj in the St. Lawrence River at Hardy Park during the late evening of Thursday September 13th. At present, investigators have been able to identify and interview all those present in Hardy Park between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. that evening.
We continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners including the Coroner’s office, Centre of Forensic Sciences, and other community agencies to further the investigation.
To assist in the investigation, detectives are asking members of the public, residents and business owners who may have cell phone video, or surveillance video of Hardy Park and surrounding area by Henry Street, Home Street and Water Street between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on the night of Thursday September 13th to contact Brockville Police at 613-342-0127.
