April 25 – 28, 2022 News Release

Warrants:

 

On April 25, 2022 at about 6:00PM, officers from the Brockville Police Service located a 52-year-old male on King St. W., known to be wanted. He had a bench warrant for failing to attend court in relation to a theft investigation that took place in January 2022. He was arrested on the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

Further;

On April 26, 2022 at about 7:00PM, a 37-year-old male, turned himself into the Brockville Police Service after he realized that he missed his court date, earlier that day. The court date was in relation to a charge of refusing to provide a breath sample for an impaired driving investigation. He was released with a new court date.

 

Fraud:

On April 25, 2022 at about Midnight, an officer from the Brockville Police Service located and arrested a 45-year-old male, that they knew was wanted for fraud. The arrest was stemming from an incident that was reported February 23, 2022. The victim had a $220 cheque stolen from their mailbox and that cheque was altered by the suspect to reflect the amount of $2,200.00 and cashed at the BMO. The male was charged with utter forged document and fraud under $5,000.00 and released with a future court date.
