Trespass to Property
On April 4th at 9:25 am, Brockville Police attended one of our high schools for a trespass complaint.
A local, 17 year old youth, was observed on the property which is in contravention of a trespass letter that was served on him in the past. The young man was also on two different probation orders with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. When located, he faces charges of breach of probation and trespass to property.
The investigation is ongoing.
Well Being Check
On April 4th at 10:28 am., Brockville Police received a request to check on the wellbeing of a local female.
The 33 year old, left a message with a friend indicating self harm. Officers located the woman and she was taken to hospital. Medical staff decided to admit her for her own safety.
Theft
On April 4th at 1:34 pm., Brockville Police took a theft complaint in the McDonald’s parking lot on Parkedale Avenue.
A local female had her vehicle entered while in the restaurant and some personal items were stolen from her unlocked vehicle. Police received a similar complaint at 3:11 pm., in the Walmart parking lot. In that incident, a car seat was removed from the vehicle and some items from the glovebox. It is believed the incidents are related.
The investigation of both incidents is ongoing.
Arrest
On April 5th at 12:18 am., Brockville Police were contacted by the Ottawa Police after a man turned himself in at their station. The local, 25 year old, was wanted by our Service for a domestic assault, reported in late February.
In that investigation, a local female reported several assaults, mischiefs and a choking incident while she was involved in a relationship with the man. Brockville Police subsequently had issued a warrant for his arrest. The accused was held in custody and will appear in bail court.
