Domestic

A 26 year old Brockville man has been arrested for harassing his former spouse. Brockville Police received a call Monday morning from a 26 year old woman who advised police that she had received death threats from her former partner via text message and feared for her safety. Police attended and viewed numerous messages from the accused including a number of a threatening nature. The male was later located and arrested for Criminal Harassment and Uttering Threats and released with conditions which include not having any further communications with the victim or any of the witnesses and given a March court date.

 

Warrant Executed

A 39 year old Brockville woman attended to Brockville court yesterday morning and surrendered herself to Brockville Police for her outstanding warrants. The woman had previously been charged in December for Impaired Driving and Failed to Appear for her court date earlier this month.

 

Public Mischief

A 19 year old Brockville woman was arrested and charged by Brockville Police yesterday after she admitted to not being truthful to officers in a December incident at a King St West building. On the 9th of December at approximately 7:30 pm officers and Brockville Fire Fighters responded to an alarm at the building. On arrival there was a disturbance going on resulting in an arrest. The young woman admitted to not being truthful with police in regards to this incident and to pulling the alarm and was subsequently charged with Public Mischief. At the time of the incident she was on probation and faces a further charge of Breach of Probation.

 

Snow Removal

Police issued 32 snow removal tickets south of the CN rail line overnight while City of Brockville crews continued their snow removal work. Residents are reminded that overnight parking is prohibited on City streets during snow removal times.
