February 13 – 15, 2016 Incidents

Community Service

On February 12th at 10:17 am., Brockville Police attended a north end apartment building to check on the wellbeing of a local male.  The 54 year old, had made comments over the phone, indicating he wanted to harm himself.  Officers spoke to the male in his apartment and decided to escort him to hospital for appropriate care.

 

Unwanted Person

On February 13th at 2:31 am., Brockville Police attended a downtown bar to deal with an unwanted man.

The local, 19 year old, had been removed from the establishment but was still causing problems outside the premises.  Officers noted the man was intoxicated and expected further problems with no intervention.  The man was arrested and charged with public intoxication.  He was released when sober and issued a fine.

 

Unwanted Person

On February 13th at 2:58 am., Brockville Police attended a north end residence in regards to an unwanted person.

A local, 33 year old man, attended the residence of his ex-girlfriend’s and was trying to gain entry.  When Officers arrived on scene, the subject was trying to lift the garage door after banging on windows and doors to no avail.  Police arrested and charged the man with trespassing at night , uttering threats and breaching his probation. The subject also resisted Officers during his arrest and faces another charge for those actions.

The vicitm was spoken to further the next day when new incidents were revealed that took place late in 2015. An investigation is ongoing in relation to those allegations and further charges will be laid concerning threats made and possible firearm offences.The subject was possibly in possession of firearms while under a court order forbidding possession of same.

Police are now looking to relocate the man as he was released on conditions for the incident on the weekend.  A warrant will be sought for his arrest. Police can’t comment any further on future charges until the man is located.

 

Community Service

On February 14th at 5:47 am., Brockville Police spoke to a female who showed up in the front lobby of the Police Service.  The 45 year old, Gananoque resident, was not making much sense and her thoughts were irrational.  Officers escorted the woman to hospital for appropriate treatment.

 

Domestic Dispute

On February 15th at 3:17 am., Brockville Police attended a domestic dispute at a south end residence.

The man and woman began arguing which resulted in the woman becoming very upset.  She was threatening to harm herself while holding onto a knife.  No one was hurt in the incident but Officers apprehended the female to have her attend the hospital with them.  The woman was left in the care of medical staff for appropriate attention.
