Impaired Driving

On February 17th at 7:22 pm., Brockville Police received a complaint of a motor vehicle parked in the middle of a south end street.

Officers noted a man passed out behind the wheel, the vehicle still in drive and the motor running. Attempts to wake the man were unsuccessful.  Eventually, a window was smashed out of the vehicle but the man still did not wake up until physical contact made with him.  The local, 48 year old, was arrested and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and being over .08%.  Breath samples obtained registered almost four times the legal limit.  He was released the next day when sober and given a future court date. The vehicle was impounded.

 

Missing Youth

On February 17th at 7:41 pm., Brockville Police attended a south end residence to investigate a missing 13 year old female.

The local youth was reported by her mother as missing. A probation order was in effect for the teen which involved conditions about abiding by house rules and being of good behavior.  Police received another call around 2:00 am., advising the girl had returned home. She now faces charges of breaching her probation order
