Drug Warrant

At 7:15pm Monday evening members of the Brockville Police Service Emergency Response Team, Drug Unit and Grenville OPP Drug unit executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a Central Avenue residence in Brockville.

Once inside the residence officers were able to locate a 43 year old Brockville man who was wanted on two outstanding warrants for failing to attend court, in relation a July arrest for a drug warrant on his previous residence and a Christmas Day traffic stop where a quantity of drugs was located in his vehicle after a drug warrant search.

During the search officers seized 16.5 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, 9.5 grams of cocaine, 63 Hydromorphone pills, drug trafficking materials, and over $2000 in cash. The drugs have a street value of over $3000.

As a result the Brockville man will face an additional 4 charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and will be appearing in Brockville Court at 2pm today for a Bail Hearing.

 

Domestic Dispute

A 31 year old Brockville woman is facing domestic assault charges as a result of a domestic dispute with her common law boyfriend. The woman became involved in an argument with her spouse while the couple’s children were home and struck her boyfriend before leaving the residence and going to another family member’s house. It was there while upset about the incident police were contacted and attended to investigate.

The woman is charged with domestic assault, released with several conditions and given a future court date. Her boyfriend did not suffer any injuries as a result of the incident.
