The Brockville Police received a call late yesterday afternoon of a body in the water at the west dock of St. Lawrence Park. With the assistance of the Brockville Fire Department, this body was removed from the water and taken to Ottawa where a Post Mortem will be conducted Tuesday to confirm the identity of the decease and cause of death.
The beach and park area of St. Lawrence Park was closed for several hours while the investigation was conducted and emergency vehicles could have safe access to the waterfront. The campground area remained open throughout. We wish to thank members of the public for their cooperation and assistance during this investigation.
